Most of our kitchen designs feature a glass splash back window - a perfect way to allow natural light in, connect with the surroundings and as an added bonus...is an easy material to clean! We love how this green wall becomes a feature in this home by @alexander_andco , creating an ever changing living artwork!
Big congrats to Luciano on successfully passing his final Australian architectural registration hurdle this week. After running his own studio in Argentina designing skyscrapers and luxury houses, Luciano was our first hire nearly 7 years ago and his talented contributions in that time have certainly been one of the most central factors in our success as a studio. He possesses a rare combination of both technical and creative skillsets and we can think of no one more deserving of the title of Architect. Another job well done Luciano!
Today on The Local Project, we explore the Pine House by @bryant_alsop_architects which sees an Edwardian house converted into a robust and reinvigorated home for a family of four. 💭
The team at Bryant Alsop carefully selected materials based on their honesty and robustness in order to maximise material volume and remove the lower mezzanine structure to reveal a vaulted ceiling which is celebrated through the addition of exposed timber trusses.
