Sacred swim #3 !!! This one was at the top of my list, the majestic Emerald Lake in British Columbia. The cold inviting waters was the inspiration for special collaboration with the wonderful @lydiazamoranoyoga. ✨❄️✨❄️🌟❄️✨❄️✨ Join us this Sunday in Canmore for a warming yoga practise, led by Lydia, followed by an adventurous Wim Hof dip in Lake Minnewanka. Check out the details @thebarefootblondeca or @lydiazamoranoyoga #sacredswim #3 #emeraldlake #wimhofmethod #canada 🇨🇦 #glacierlakes

Morning to afternoon at Emerald Lake on Saturday. The snowflakes in the morning were fluffy and beautiful but hid the beautiful views. We trudged through up to 4” of snow through the Emerald Lake Basin to this beautiful waterfall and by the time we were back down to the lake, everything had cleared up. What a difference a few hours makes. #EmeraldLake #yohonationalpark #🍐🥾

A lake surounded by mountains and forests, with a crystal clear water. This almost unreal turquoise color is caused by powdered limestone deposits. One of my favourite places of the trip 🙂 #emeraldlake #britishcolumbia 🏞🇨🇦

I drove through the night from Vancouver to arrive at this lake for sunrise. I was most definitely not disappointed. The first and only other time I visited Emerald Lake was in the summer this year, so seeing it during the fall on this beautifully eerie morning was pretty spectacular 🌼 • • • There's something magical about mist floating on water, brushing across the surface, gently making its way, mysteriously creeping along. The way it changed and moved this morning was captivating ☁️ • • • A few weeks ago, I drove over 2,300km just so that I could spend some time in the Rockies and Western B.C. for the long weekend. Some people have looked at me funny, the way that I road trip sometimes. That's OK. Let them wonder. Let them look. To me, that's what freedom is - being able to get behind the wheel and drive to wherever I want. • • • Road tripping in this way has become such a big part of my travels and it has allowed me to see parts of Canada that just take my breath away 🍂 • • • I am eternally grateful that I am where I am and that I'm able to do the things that make me most happy. Take my breath away, Canada. Coax me into the wilderness, lock me up and throw away the key 🌲

This is the reason I love to travel. To wake up early and have sights like this completely to myself. Being immersed in this beautiful nature allows you the time to feel grateful for what you have in life. I love the freedom that traveling gives me and I love to explore the beautiful sights of this world. This was a very cold morning in -10 degrees at Bow Lake, where I definately didn’t bring enough clothes. But with sights like this, I cant complain 🌎

🛶 My weekend vibes - swipe 👉🏼 . Our road trip to Banff National Park was nothing short of beauty - despite the fact that we had a blizzard. Weather didn’t dampen our spirit to hike and even some people enjoyed canoeing around the lake. How was yours?

Emerald Lake is a little gem of a spot, located in Yoho National Park, Alberta. We stopped by here as part of our Canadian road trip from Calgary to Vancouver, visiting as many lakes as we could in the short time we spent exploring the national parks. I don't usually enjoy rain when on holiday, but a short downpour really enhanced the atmosphere and gave us the true wilderness feeling that brings Banff and Yoho alive. Theres just no end of breqthtaking spots in the Canadian National Parks and I could spend all day taking photos. From the famous canoes on the still, crystal clear waters, to the rain drops on the greenest leaves and of course on us. Good job we had @kathmandugear and @vasquefootwear @goretexna kit to keep us warm and dry. Full Canadian Road trip will be on the website soon.

Emerald Lake🇨🇦We did spot two loons but they were quick to go under water. It was quiet around the lake; you could hear a pin drop! I was hoping to spot some elk but there’s time yet! Don’t let the blue and clear water fool you - it was freezing!! Also got to see an area where an avalanche took place. Thankfully avalanche season isn’t until November 💃🏼 #EmeraldLake #Canada #RyanAndKatieWedding #ThereWasACanoeAvailButIdFlipThatInAHeartbeat #Avalanche #DatAlluvialFanTho #Neature #QuietAF #GotMyThreeMilesIn

Nope, not posing in front of a postcard... 😍 In fact, this is very real, not even an Instagram filter! This is exactly how beautiful Canadian lakes and mountains are. Happy 1 Year Wedding Anniversary - going on 8 total years together, @bendingthebar ! 🥰🥰🥰 There’s no one else I’d rather avoid hot humid climates with, but rather hike up mountains with and attempt to try every city’s local coffee brew with. Many more travels and adventures together to come 💕💕💕

Welcome to the Canadian Rockies!! Sorry I’ve been a little MIA, I’ve been enjoying roadtripping through four National Parks with my @jucyworld campervan (and also ran out of data the first day)! 🇨🇦 🏔🏕🚐 . I took alllll of your tips (look out for thank you shout outs on Stories) and learned a ton of my own, so can’t wait to share how to do this trip and everything I saw in Glacier, Yoho, Banff, and Jasper National Parks! . This location is Emerald Lake in Yoho National Park, which I’d definitely recommend stopping at on the way to Banff! . I went around 11am and it wasn’t crazy crowded, and I couldn’t tell anyway because if you just walk the scenic trail around the lake, you’ll find tons of little secluded nooks like this one! You also have a better chance of getting a kayak rental here than the more popular lakes (they’re all first come first served). . Definitely save this post if you’re planning on doing Banff and want a beautiful, less crowded lake to stop at! 😻 . What do you think of my first roadtrip stop? . #jucyworld #canada #canadianrockies #yohonationalpark #emeraldlake #roadtrip #campervan #mylifesatravelmovie #alyssaramostravels #banff #calgary #alberta #vancouver

At first we just heard him. Everybody did. But to find him was a bit harder. We sneaked through the woods and found this woodpecker high up in an old tree. He was working there for quite a long time. The bark was almost completely gone. I changed to my 300 mm tele lens and managed to get some shots although the lens only has an aperture of 5.6 🌳📷
