Hugely I think that the more you fear something, the more you become a slave to it. Being afraid of something created to bind is stupid. It’s so sad that statistics prove that Christians are reported for having the highest amount of extramarital affairs, porn addictions, and unsatisfied sex lives. I love uncovering myths we’ve been told and getting back to the proper context of things (example: did you know that spiritual “soul-ties” are NOWHERE to be found in the Bible??) To be able as part of my calling in life to help couples love the one they have in deeper and more intimate ways will be a huge blessing in my life. Daily Advice: Spend time with out constant mental simulation. What I mean by this is escape the scrolling through your phone, picking it up to check IG and Facebook randomly when your mind isn’t being entertained. You may not realize it, but you’ve subconsciously developed a habit over years of repeatedly doing this. When is the last time we’ve went an extended period of time without our devices or social media? A long time ago! Our minds weren’t designed for constant stimulation, they need a break to re energize and reset. So give your mind the break it deserves, daily, weekly and monthly by planning out times to disconnect! 😩🤣 Liking and trusting my surgeon really helped make the decision to have the hysterectomy. While hysterectomies are very common, having a blood clotting issue made the situation a little more unique. To add to that complication, my uterus was the size of a woman who is 14 weeks pregnant. I had laparoscopic surgery to lessen the dangers of clotting, but that meant that my uterus needed to be cut up in little pieces and taken out individually because it’s was too large to get through a small incision. The primary surgeon, who I absolutely love, has taken out hundreds of uteruses however, she’s never taken out a uterus that had to be cut up because she usually deals with patients who have cancer. So she had to call in another surgeon who specialized in cutting it up (don’t know the medical term) and they worked as a team. I never had a chance to meet that surgeon. There were st least another 5 or 6 interns in the OR. I got a look at them before they knocked me out. Although the surgery probably should have happened years ago, I’m glad it didn’t because I think PPO insurance combined with Cedars Sinai was the right combination. Neither existed on my journey years ago. 💜

Time to go back to following @chalenejohnson 131 method for nutrition. . I was in the Beta group a couple of years ago. It happened my mindset was in the right place for it. The peace and freedom I found to eat in a way that was right and flexible for me was amazing. . I wanted everyone to know that feeling of freedom! With what seemed like perfect timing along came Beachbody coaching to the UK. . With that came containers ( aka control which is a trigger for me), 3 different meal plans and a lot of diet confusion . eventually also a very definite lack of joy with the coaching side of it all. . The result is I’ve lost peace, nutritional freedom and flexibility,a body that hurts and I feel uncomfortable in my own skin again. . So many lessons learned. Don’t mess with what isn’t broke and let go of anything that steals your joy! . Back to basics I go. I wasn’t going to even share this as don’t want it to be considered back on yet another diet, this isn’t a diet. This is about rediscovering my body, what works for me and being flexible. . My bigger message is, if how you eat is making you unhappy then it isn’t right for you. Close out the voices, the social media and even what your friends are doing. It might seem like an odd combination but it smells Devine. I started doing "Stove Top Potpourri" a few years ago before I was introduced to the world of essential oils and I couldn't keep justifying $45-$60 on a single candle to keep my house smelling fresh and inviting. Then I learnt of all the synthetic fragrances amongst other things I was putting into the air so I switched to making Stove Top Potpourri. If you have never heard of Stove Top Potpourri it's basically a pot filled with water you simmer for as long as you want with natural flavourings, cinnamon sticks, orange peel, apple slices, cranberry, cloves the list is really endless. My all time favourite and the one I was asked about mostly was simply lemon peel, fresh rosemary sprigs and vanilla. It smells like heaven. “MiGhT DeLeTe LaTeR”: I’m always a little intimidated with posting physique updates and anything related to fitness, at least on my main feed. I’m afraid of making the wrong impression or saying something that can be misconstrued and taken out of context. But I want to address a series of comments that have come up over the past few months since I’ve gotten back into lifting. It doesn’t really shock me that people think this way, but the fact that people feel the need to tell me like their opinion matters is intrusive and not their place. A pretty quick way to get on my shit list is to tell me what to do with my body. “dOn’T LiFt wEiGhT’s. yOu’LL lOoK LiKe A mAn” “eWwWw, yOu’Re gEtTiNg bUlKy” “yOu’Re hUsBaNd wOn’T tHiNk yOu’Re aTtRaCtiVe” “DuDe, sHe lOoK’s gRoSs” It goes on. I promise I’m not making this up. Honestly, I really, really don’t give a shit. I know by posting this and addressing it makes it sound like I care, but I’m just more peeved than anything. Trust me, if I truly did care, I probably would have taken those comments to heart and I probably would have quit lifting a long time ago. Last time I checked, my physical appearance is not causing anyone else any harm. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. If my husband doesn’t find me attractive, that’s his problem. Don’t insert yourself or your [outdated] opinion where it does not belong. But if it really keeps you up at night, don’t worry, last time I checked that wasn’t the case. I’m going to level with you here, I don’t think I look THAT muscular, but I guess I should be flattered. I know I’ve leaned out and put on a little mass, but I would like a little more definition and muscle. That will come with time and consistency. Like I’ve said in the past, I’m not so concerned with aesthetics. I just really love making progress and hitting new PR’s. But the shape and change is nice. All this to say: with all due respect, keep your two cents to yourself. Focus on you, not the people around you.
