THANK YOU to Humane Society International (HSI)’s Peter J. Li for sharing NEWS of our amazing alliance on Facebook. In Peter’s words:
Nick, a Rescued Golden Retriever, and 8 other rescued Chinese dogs are coming to the U.S.
Beijing Sept. 15 2019. Humane Society International (HSI) is bringing 9 dogs rescued from the meat trade to the U.S. thanks to the invaluable assistance of Jeff Beri, founder of No Dogs Left Behind (NDLB), NDLB staff members, and our Chinese partner group Vshine Animal Protection Association. Nick was rescued moments before slaughter at a dog meat restaurant that was shut down by the Chinese authorities. Nick has been adopted by a Canadian family. Xiao Bai (Little White), the only puppy in this group, was born of a mother dog rescued from a slaughterhouse. While we await the arrival of the 9 dogs, we thank NDLB and our Chinese partner group activists for their help to get these formerly traumatized and terrorized dogs to the U.S.
China's dog meat industry is a business that is operating against Chinese laws and regulations. It is an industry that is increasingly challenged by the Chinese public. With public condemnation and government crackdown, the dog meat trade, a cancer in today's China, will eventually disappear. It is an industry that is an insult to China, to Chinese culture and the Chinese people. There is NOTHING cultural about dog meat consumption in China. It is profit that is the driving force behind the brutal industry. ➡️CLICK LINK IN BIO⬅️ to HELP US Stop the Dog Meat Trade By Making a DONATION
